White Water Rafting Class II & III on the Balsa River

This is the safest and most thrilling adventure to enjoy with the whole family. The activity begins by picking you up at your hotel or at our company office, located 100m North of The Police Station of La Fortuna. Then we drive in a modern and comfortable bus with AC for about 45 minutes to reach the Río La Balsa. Upon arrival we gear you up (life jacket, helmet and paddle) and give a full safety talk so you enjoy a safe experience. Our guides are bilingual, certified and have a minimum of 10 years of experience. After the talk we do a little practice and start the descent: 2 hours running a 10 km section with an average of 25 rapids, full of fun waves and big splashes. Along the way we stop to enjoy seasonal fruit like pineapple, watermelon or mango, and rest at a nice spot on the riverside. During the tour you can see a diversity of wildlife as well as wonderful scenes of dense vegetation and landscapes; the water temperature is perfect for swimming. At the end we wait for you with the bus, water and towels, then return to La Fortuna where we offer a delicious traditional lunch and coffee, and you can see the funny photographs of yourself on the rapids. After lunch we take you back to your hotel in La Fortuna.
