Zipline Canopy Tour

From there you'll fly across 10 zip lines connected by 12 platforms, with two suspension bridges crossing the forest several meters above the ground. White Water Rafting Class II & III on the Balsa River
This is the safest and most thrilling adventure to enjoy with the whole family. The activity begins by picking you up at your hotel or at our company office, located 100m North of The Police Station of La Fortuna. Then we drive in a modern and comfortable bus with AC for about 45 minutes to reach the Río La Balsa. Upon arrival we gear you up (life jacket, helmet and paddle) and give a full safety talk so you enjoy a safe experience. Our guides are bilingual, certified and have a minimum of 10 years of experience. After the talk we do a little practice and start the descent: 2 hours running a 10 km section with an average of 25 rapids, full of fun waves and big splashes. Along the way we stop to enjoy seasonal fruit like pineapple, watermelon or mango, and rest at a nice spot on the riverside. During the tour you can see a diversity of wildlife as well as wonderful scenes of dense vegetation and landscapes; the water temperature is perfect for swimming. At the end we wait for you with the bus, water and towels, then return to La Fortuna where we offer a delicious traditional lunch and coffee, and you can see the funny photographs of yourself on the rapids. After lunch we take you back to your hotel in La Fortuna.
Afternoon Trip: White Water Rafting Class III on Río Sarapiquí
If you are one of those people who sleep late or want to take advantage of the morning for another activity, then this is the best rafting option for your family and friends. The activity begins by picking you up at your hotel or at our company office, located in Fortuna Ave 333, St 460. Then we drive in a modern and comfortable bus with AC for about one hour to reach the Río Sarapiquí. Upon arrival we gear you up (life jacket, helmet and paddle) and give a full safety talk so you enjoy a safe experience. Our guides are bilingual, certified and have a minimum of 5 years of experience. After the safety talk we do a little practice and start the descent: 2 hours running a 10 km section with an average of 25 rapids, full of fun waves and big splashes. At the end, the driver waits for you at our take-out point with the bus, water and towels, and we offer tropical fruit, Costa Rican snacks and coffee, plus you can see the funny photographs of yourself on the rapids. After enjoying the fruit and snacks, we take you back to your hotel in La Fortuna.
White Water Rafting Class III & IV in Río Sarapiquí
Enjoy our most challenging adventure — a white water rafting tour with Class III & IV rapids. This thrilling 2-hour adventure is the best option for adrenaline junkies. Raft 9 miles (14.5 km) down the Río Sarapiquí with over 30 continuous rapids, while leaving enough time to swim and snack on Costa Rican fruit. Afterwards, your guide rewards you with water and towels and takes you to a local restaurant in La Fortuna for lunch. The Río Sarapiquí is surrounded by lush vegetation, giving you the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife during the tour, including sloths, iguanas, toucans and monkeys. PLEASE NOTE: A good physical condition is required for this tour. Not recommended for people with obesity or weights over 120 kg (260 lbs). You must know how to swim.

Bijagual Waterfall – Costa Rica's 2nd Tallest Falls
Escape the crowds and stand at the base of Bijagual, a 328-meter (1,076 ft) cascade — the second-tallest waterfall in Costa Rica. This is not a national park experience: Bijagual sits on private land in the Carara biodiversity corridor, so groups stay small and the rainforest feels genuinely wild. Our round-trip transport departs from Los Sueños. On arrival, a local guide leads you along a jungle trail that winds through some of the most species-rich forest on the Central Pacific — the same corridor that shelters scarlet macaws, capuchin and howler monkeys, toucans and blue morpho butterflies. Along the way you'll cross rivers, spot tropical flora, and hear the roar of the falls long before you see them. The trail includes uneven terrain and a few climbs but is manageable for beginners, families and older travelers. When you reach the waterfall, you can dip into the natural pools at its base — crystal-clear freshwater surrounded by primary rainforest — before the walk back. Open year-round. From May to November the falls run at full force after the rains; December through April offers drier, easier trail conditions.
Carara National Park — Guided Rainforest Half-Day
Step into one of Costa Rica's most biodiverse ecosystems on a half-day guided hike through Carara National Park. Sitting exactly on the transition zone between the dry Pacific forests to the north and the humid rainforests to the south, Carara concentrates species from both worlds — you'll spot wildlife here that you cannot see anywhere else in the country in a single walk. Our naturalist guide brings a professional field telescope so you can watch **scarlet macaws** — one of Costa Rica's largest wild populations flies over these trees daily — from just a few meters away, in full color. Along the well-maintained flat trails you'll also see white-faced capuchin and howler monkeys, iguanas basking in the sun, poison-dart frogs on the leaf litter, motmots, toucans and dozens of other tropical birds. On the way out we stop at the famous Río Tárcoles bridge, where American crocodiles up to 4 meters long rest on the sand banks below. Easy trails, family-friendly, minimal elevation. Ideal for guests who want a real rainforest experience without a demanding hike.
Night Wildlife Tour — Frogs & Rainforest by Night
When the sun goes down, the Costa Rican rainforest transforms into a completely different world — the shy, colorful, mostly-hidden species come out. This intimate 2-hour guided night walk is designed for guests who want to see the rainforest as few travelers ever do. We pick you up at your accommodation at 6:00 PM. Your bilingual naturalist guide provides **rubber boots** (safer than sneakers on wet forest trails) and powerful **professional headlamps**. Along quiet jungle paths you'll spot **15 to 20 different frog species** — including the iconic red-eyed tree frog, glass frogs, tink frogs and the tiny blue-jeans dart frog. With patience and luck you'll also see wild cat silhouettes (ocelot, margay), kinkajous, sloths asleep in the canopy, and the occasional owl or nightjar. Small groups. Family-friendly. Olive Ridley Turtle Nesting Tour (Tortuga Lora) · Jul–Nov
Between July and November, one of nature's most moving spectacles unfolds on our Pacific beaches: the endangered **Olive Ridley sea turtle (tortuga lora)** comes ashore under the cover of night to dig her nest and lay 90 to 110 eggs in the warm sand. Weeks later, tiny hatchlings emerge and rush toward the ocean guided only by moonlight. This 2-hour ethical night tour brings you to a beach where local guides work closely with conservation programs to protect the nests. Your bilingual naturalist guide uses ONLY red flashlights (turtle-safe — bright white light disorients both nesting mothers and hatchlings) and keeps groups small and silent so nature stays in charge. From a respectful distance you'll watch the process of nesting or, if the timing is right, witness the exhilarating dash of hatchlings to the surf. We pick you up at 6:00 PM. Departure and arrival times depend on the tide — we confirm the exact schedule the day before. All gear is included: rubber boots, red-filter headlamps, transport, and access.
